Public Health Agency of Canada Announces Funding Opportunity

The Minister of Health Rona Ambrose announced a funding opportunity for community-based programs to support the health of those who have experienced violence of abuse in the home. The value of funding per project is $125,000 annually and there is no deadline to apply.

Vancity Community Project Grants - 2013 Changes

• Continuous intake process starting January 2, 2013 meaning they will no longer have specific deadlines and invite you to apply at any time throughout the year. 
• Decreasing their turnaround time on the decision making process from 15 weeks to 8 to 10 weeks.
• Increasing the threshold for the program from $10,000 to $15,000 to reflect the higher costs of your programs and projects.
• Changing some of their granting criteria to better align to Vancity's areas of impact of Cooperative Principles (Places), Social Justice & Financial Inclusion (People), and Environmental Sustainability (Planet).
